Default Quick question

I have my first tadpol wooo

Normaly only get to the egg with it moving inside so great news.

Just when do you start to feed a few hours after it out the egg, a day later, when thanks for you help guys

Ive read that 2-3 days after it hatches is fine.

I usually wait 4 or 5 days. I've had mouth rot issues if feeding too soon.

After the tadpole hatches, it will still be absorbing nourishment from the remaining yolk (normally seen as a whitish patch on the abdomen). It is important to wait 2-5 days post hatching depending on the species to offer food as otherwise you can run into mouth fungus problems.

A good rule of thumb is to watch the tadpole's behavior. Right after hatching tads tend to be fairly motionless but as the yolk is absorbed and they are ready to feed, you will notice more vigorous swimming movement.
