Default Temps in cage

So this is my first dart frog enclosure. I just got it all set up and have been misting. I have been spot checking the temps with a infrared thermometer until I get my permanent thermometer/hygrometer for the tank. My temps are ranging from the upper 70’s at the top of the tank and around 69/70 in the front part of the cage where the light is less intense. Is this range in the cage ok? If not what should I do to control the temp in the cage? Where should I place my permanent thermometer/hygrometer probe? Near the top or near the bottom of the cage?

What frog species will you be keeping?

Those temps sound fine. A hygrometer probe in the tank full time will very likely fail very quickly -- they do not tolerate any moisture (misting, condensation) on them. Most froggers do not monitor humidity except periodically, at most.

I’m going to be keeping leucs. I know about humidity gauges, I go through them like every 6 months with my chameleon cages but I like the piece of mind. Temps 70 and up are good then? I know there should be a range so they can get comfortable/self regulate I just didn’t want it to be too cold. At night it’s between 67-72 in the hut.

My leucs see low 60s in the winter, and ~80 in the summer.
