Default Ideas for debris?

Hi folks!
So, there's not much information here in Norway about what kind of debris can be used at the bottom of tanks, (submerged in water and not).
I've seen a few youtubers that like to put "debris" in their vivariums or tanks, but half the time they don't explain exactly what it is, just empty pods of this and that. Often stuff the pick locally. Now, I live in a climate where even most woods would be a no-go in water, but I want to know what kind of stuff I can "harvest" from time to time.

Is there a neat list of tried and testet items?

What about hazelnut husks, coconut husks and such?

I've noticed that when I each peaches and stuff, if I put the "stone" in my tanks, the springtails really pick it completely clean in a matter of days.

It doesn't seem to rot after that either. Would "stones" from fruits be a nice addition?
