I think its possible for factors to influence size in many species of 'lower' chordates.
Growth can continue, albeit slowly in many species of fish and I have come across wildcaught herps that were significantly larger than standard description. To memory a few Indonesian litoria that were bigger than 'normal' and one in particular monster. In Florida I encountered frogs exceeding size description
Besides Time, bone development is encouraged by many factors, dietary and I suspect, natural light factors.
Oral D3 in large amounts will not make bigger organisms, but multiple holistic influences probably can.
