Default clay and substrate divider

hey everyone

is it absolutely necessary to put a divider between the substrate and the clay because i just realized yesterday when i was finishing up my 44 for some random reason......i didnt even though i had 8 feet of it right beside me :roll:

I've got 50 tanks without it.

With LECA though the coco media will likely fall between the rocks and clog the system. I use a finer 'clay' personally, but if this happens you'll just need to keep the water level low so that the media and plants arent drowning in a swamp.
