Default Water Depth

I forget if I've seen this before, but how deep should the water be in the drainage layer. no water feature or anything, just sitting at the bottom of the drainage layer.

Below the substrate, wherever that is on your viv. I siphon it out if it gets close to coming in contact with the substrate, not at any particular depth

Ok, what about minimum level in the drainage layer. Right now there is some wetness but not enough to really be considered having any level. I have a corner accessible to drain the water if needed and there are just a few patches of water. It's pretty humid overall though.

I have a minimum of an inch just so I have a little room so I don't have to syphon it really often. I usually go with an 1.5"-2" on bigger tanks. I do have a 10 gallon holding tank that I don't mist as often that has only half an inch and it never fills up
