Default Beginner Viv

Hi there
Im getting ready to start a new viv and im trying to look on the net for information on plants and mosses for it. So far all I can find are single sentences on general species. Being as i'm totally new none of this remotely helps. I guess my question is what are some plants you guys have had success with and where can i find information on them.

Thanks for any help in advance

As far as plants I think you should have a few bromiliads, and as far as moss sphagnum works well but does not look good, go with green moss,( found at the garden section of HOME DEPOT or LOWES). or what looks really good is riccia moss, which is wonderfuly shown in the vivarium construction section of http://www.brianstropicals.com, you can buy some at http://www.aquabid.com.

A great way to learn about viv plants is through blackjungle.com. I went through their online catalog, making a list of species that inerested me. Then, I googles the species names to fnd care info on them. If unsuccessful, just make a post in the plants forum.

Have you checked out the Glasshouse Works terrarium section? http://www.glasshouseworks.com

And of course, you should ask in the plant section here. We have some real experts on the board, especially if you are interested in the bromeliads and vines.
