Default Quick Question

Can thumbnail frogs (adults) take D. Hydei flys or just the small er ones

well I am deffinetly no expert. heck I didn't even know there was a diiference between dart frogs and thumb nails frogs, until two months ago. but have always fed them the large flies with aboulutly no problems. actually my purmillio thumbnail frog was the first frog that called in my tank. hope this helps.

Yes, thumbs can eat Hydei. The only frog I would say might not be able to is Reticulatus because of how tiny the frogs are.

Pumilio falls under the informal classification of obligatory egg feeder, not thumbnail (which are non-obligatory egg feeders).

Yeah, adult thumbs don't seem to have much trouble with hydei; my vents, at least, seem to do just fine with them. I still prefer to have melanogaster available, but I've only fed them hydei on a number of occasions and they seem to have no problem scarfing them down.
