I believe most people on the forum will tell you that you shouldn't mix two different species. I also believe that they would heavily advise against it if you haven't kept both species before.

Without giving away secrets...

Do Azureus and galactonotus come from the same location?
What does each species look for in hiding places?
Can you keep multiple groups of either of these in species-only setups? I.E. are they territorial with competitors?

Just my 2-cents

If you want to do a mix tank it would be best if you have experience with each species separated, as well as a lot of experience keeping darts in general. Also, it would be best to keep animals from the same local, in an appropriate enclosure. For example, bassleri and imitator from Tarapoto, Peru. No chance of hybrids, no cross contamination, and they would inhabit different niches in the tank. Unlike galactonotus and azureus.

One Aquarium I've been to(Aquarium of the Pacific) has this combination plus G&B auratus. I have observed the galacts and azureus fighting.

Well done dendroboard, the most tame response i have ever read to a mixing question. Either everyone has been in mixing therapy or people just did'nt respond :-P

Good choice not to mix those guys though. The above suggestions are quality ones.

Watch I bet you jinxed it. LOL. Anyway yeah don't mix them. I've noticed my galacs like to stay on the floor like my azureus so yeah they would fight.

In my case I have a tank with orange galac and azureus
They're in a 80cm*50cm and 70cm high for 1.5 year for now
I have a 2.1 azureus and 0.2 orange galac and last year 2 clutch of azureus removed quickly from the tank and had babyfrogs

Just keep in mind to reserve them lots and lots of hiding places.
I have just note some fighting during the fooding sessions
Can't say If with a galactonotus male,it'll work
