No bloating. Looked on google, definitely not tarigrades those things are horrifying to look at. The fish person I got them from labeled them water bears but they were daphnia, thought they were the same thing but no, not at all I see now.

Yea Doug , I used a lot of sponge filters and that seemed to work well. Lots of algae that would collect on the sponge which made good food.
