I mixed up some clay for frog baths based on your recommendation here. I used the clay substrate recipe from the board
, but omitted the peat and cornstarch.
So it's mostly redart clay with sodium bentonite and calcium bentonite with a little calcium carbonate added. I didn't have any fancy seed pods so I broke up a partially decomposed coconut shell into dishes.
I'm finding I have to hand mist it or it dries out too much over a couple days. Has this been your experience as well?
I would put more clay in the shell so it quite thick. Yes, I have to add water every few days so the clay stays moist. Not too much tho or the frogs will color your tank and windows with the clay..
