I should clarify: my point was not that the leaves might be scorching (which I understand to be caused by excessive localized heat from high light). My thought was rather that some plants (notably, the genera of orchids that I like to grow outside of vivs) are a light green tending toward slight yellowing color when pushed with light in order to encourage flowering, and dark green when not provided with sufficient light.

Increasing the amount of light (which I suspect is the case when flo lamps are replaced with SD panels) would tend to lighten the green color of at least some plants, I'm assuming.
