Default Necessary to paint/seal Great Stuff?

While it may be a waste of time, there is peace of mind to consider. I have always covered/sealed 100% of GS backgrounds with proven safe silicone or other safe materials.

Its been years since I used GS or other background materials, other than the titebond method or tree fern panels so; Iím probably not the one to respond here. However, there is always peace of mind to consider.
