Hello again, friends!
The vivarium is COMPLETE! Decided to make this a separate thread from my old one since this is the final product (for now). I named it "Visions of a Cloud Forest" because every single plant comes from South America, with emphasis on those that come from the cloud forests of Ecuador! All of these are low-intermediate light, cool-intermediate temperature, and high humidity.
Here are the plants imaged closer.
As an update from my last post: Things have been awesome for the most part! I obtained a second misting nozzle to ensure proper humidity and added a screen to the top vent because gnats found it. The springtails have finally taken off as well! As for the plants, been having some trouble with leaf loss on a few which worries me, but they're also growing a lot of new leaves, so I'm suspecting (and hoping) it is just due to stress from being moved. The dracula has grown a ton and so have the masdevallia! Super happy that they're doing well. The astrophora has a ton of buds too! Redid the moss mix because I screwed it up the first time by letting it dry out completely, hopefully it works this time around.
Other than that, not much is new, other than some changes to which plants are in the viv and which are not. Had to remove some due to size and space limitation. No biggie.
Thank you all for being here during this build, I adore the final result and hope it looks nice to others as well. Feel free to ask any questions about it, I will be happy to answer them!
