Default New Benedicta Morph

Understory just released a new morph/locale of benedicta. What are your thoughts on the 'Pampa Hermosa' locale?

I personally think the older one looks better. Just my opinion.

Can you please post a link where you found this? I can not seem to find any information on Understory's website.

**edit**

It looks as if your pictures came from here...http://www.dendrobates.org/benedicta.html
Where does it label or even discuss a new locale?

**another edit**
Thanks Dizzle!!

Glad to see some interest in this frog. I can't seem to decide which form I like better. The pampa hermosa have been a long work in progress. They are on a whole I would say a little more robust that the standard form. However, they seem to be a much more sporadic breeder, so this will offer some interesting challenges and opportunities for those interested in them. Designing your viv with open areas of leaflitter at the front, and hard-scaping and foliage towards the rear will help encourage them to be more visible.

I intend to get some pics and more info on the website soon,

Just an FYI: morph and locale are not the same thing.

Morph refers to the physical appearance/characteristics of something.

Locale refers to the geographic location (and in this hobby we usually mean isolated population) from which it was collected.

You could have several "morphs" of something within a single population, all of which could (and should) be bred together. By using the term to refer to an isolated population, we could unknowingly be encouraging people to split captive populations that should otherwise be bred together.

The black fade to blue on the new Pampa Hermosa is just insane. I may have a new interest.....

I'm not sure which I like more, but I'll probably wind up with both anyway

The cloudy blue legs are interesting, as is the solid black back.
