I would ask Josh about orchids. That 20L is going to be very shallow. I would go with some small tilandsias (sp?). Also broms get pretty big. I would ask about those as well. As far as ground cover I love the Pilea tiny tears. I just put some in my 20T and it is taking off. Once they have more I'm buying a bunch for my 46g. Again in you case I would ask a sponsor about particular plants before you buy.

here's the deal, your sarracinia will die in the viv.....
and your Venus flytrap will die in the viv.
they Need a winter dormancy period (these things come ftom the southeastern US or farther north, so they naturally need a mild "winter"{35-40 Fahrenheit} for three or four months) they also need VERY strong lighting. if you live in a climate that receives mild winters your MUCH better off potting them outside waterlogged in an un-drained pot. (sirriously though your better off trying to keep them drenched with gassoline under constant fire from molotove cocktails and incindiary rounds then year round in a tropical vivarium) really great plants when they are kept outside anyway!

They will be in plenty bright light.

The grower that I talked to keeps all of these plants including the pitcher growing year round indoors. Simply lowering the photoperiod and replacing my bulbs in spring should be more than enough to stimulate "winter" for the more tropical varities which I am inquiring about.

However if you have good ideas for stocking this tank - please suggest them. I want as many plants as possible, and as much diversity as possible, so small things are a necessity.

Thanks

So I have started over - please still comment with thoughts and or suggestions.

I am going to probably do an order of orchids from ebay or the such when the time comes for that.

I am also going to try and seed my tank with spores of some sort of glowing mushroom.

These are some plants from joshes frogs that I am interested in getting:

Fluffy Ruffles'' fern - Ferns and Mosses | Josh's Frogs

Pteris cretica 'Albo-lineata' (Variegated Cretan Brake) - Ferns and Mosses | Josh's Frogs

Cryptanthus bivitattus - Cryptanthus (Earth Stars) | Josh's Frogs
