Default Anchor Pins??

Does anyone know where I can buy anchor pins small enough for our uses? The only ones I can find online are the massive 6" ones for holding down landscaping materials. I am not even sure I am using the correct term, I am looking for the u shaped pins to pin plants into the background of a viv.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
James

Plastic or stainless? You could try poultry staples, but they are a little thick (could be covered in silicone/peat)...should be able to find them at any hardware store.

use wooden chopsticks... cut to length and use them as an x to hold the plant into place, they decompose slowly overtime but the plants are typically well supported by then.

You can find various gauges of aluminum wire at most hardware stores as well. I got a fairly thin gauge, cut off a short piece, bend into a staple, and done!

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I am currently using the x shaped toothpick method but sometimes I have trouble getting them to hold in strange positions or heavier plants.

I don't mind the appearance of the mount because once the plant roots into the background I usually remove the toothpicks anyway.

Poultry staples will be perfect!! Thanks Field!! It's basically the same as the wire trick but no need to cut or bend, 5 bucks for an entire box def worth the convenience!

I found some in Michaels and/or AC Moore craft stores... I like Ed's 'chopstick' idea though, not sure how rust will effect the mini environment.. (unless you find the coated ones)..

i use stainless cotter pins. you can pick them up at any hardware store, they are cheap and they take very little alteration to use. i tend to just pry them open a bit use. they work very well on epiweb and ok on cork.
