YOU choose-Peruvian biotype tank plants!
I'm going to be setting up an Exo 36 X 18 X 36 for Dendropsophus giraffe and was hoping to get your recommendations on plants that would work for them. Any design ideas that you have would be helpful as well!
I'd like to do some different stuff than just pothos and would also like to keep the tank native to Peru.
So far I'm thinking I'll go for an aroid heavy look with lots of bigger, robust plants. Josh H recommended I go with "about 5-8 plant species since that is the diversity limit that you would see in a lowland Peruvian habitat. Leaf litter on the bottom and maybe some logs or a buttress on the background."
I was thinking about these for plants so far:
Anthurium arisaemoides
Philodendron verrucosum
Monocostus uniflorus
What do you guys think? Any ideas?
Any help and suggestions would be great.
Thanks,
Nick
