Default Experimental Tank....plant suggestions?

Hey All,

I have been working on a 23ish gal bowfront as a bentonite/peat bg and cutting/moss growth experiment. This is what I have done so far...anyone have suggestions for the big empty space to the right? I am trying to have just a few species of plants and plenty of open space, so nothing too big. Since this tank is just an experiment, there are no restrictions for frog-usefullness for the plants (hope that makes sense). All suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance,
-Field

Something big and really bushy ?

I like the fern idea. Depending on species, it will grow up and out. You can trim back as you please, or even allow it to grow tall, thinning out branches close to the ground.

I'd stick a button fern clipping or 2 in the driftwood and a white/black rabbit foots fern in the left corner.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was thinking a fern was the way to go. I tried a birdsnest fern that I had been growing for my 75gal, but it was way to huge for the tank and theres no good way to trim it. I'm also thinking about taking that brom off the driftwood, looks kinda like a green and brown volcano...not what I'm going for. Might just try to find a smaller birdsnest locally. I have plenty of extra climbing/vining plants, but few uprights. Thanks again yall....and keep the suggestions coming!

Nice tank so far! I hope my tank comes out so well.Is that black rabbit foot fern? I like white more, because it's darker (makes no sense to me )
