Default Is my pillow moss still ok?

I recently ordered some pillow moss, and because one of the designated tanks wasn't quite ready for planting, (and due to my neglect) the moss I was planning on using for that tank got pretty dry...what are the chances it will come back?
A related question...Anyone know how to make living tropical (floridian) pillow moss produce spores? Or what time of year that sort of thing generally happens in nature?

pillow moss will usully regenerate is put in a moist environment. as for spore, the plant only does that when it is happy.
