They need good air circulation, and a distinct wet/dry season to flower properly. That hybrid will also want a lot of light. I've kept a couple species Brassavola's in a vivarium--but no flowering yet. I'm currently in my "wet season"--we'll see what happens this winter when I dry them out.

I used to have a large 100+ growth Nodosa but I forgot about it being outside one frosty night :-( Before that, it would bloom ALL the time.
You don't think 2 t-5's could get it to bloom?

Brassavola nodosa should bloom just fine with 2x T-5's. Mine (outside) bloom regularly under two layers of heavy canopy.

I need to get my peepers checked. I thought I saw 2 leaves on this from each bulb.

Harry, I think the plant in the pic was a Brassavola x Ctna.--so its not your eyesight. We just hijacked the thread to talk about B. nodosa...
