Default mounting broms in a living room

Hi, so this is probably a strange topic that very well may have been answered before, but I couldn't find it in a search.

I just arrived at our new apartment and have A) 10 bromeliads and B) no terrarium yet.

So, I affixed a branch to my living room wall and want to mount the broms to it. Anyone have any good input on this given the humidity is so much lower? I tried with one and wrapped sphagnum moss around the stolon and attached it to the branch. Any ideas would be welcome.

i would make sure somethings under it to capture the excess water and just mist it once/twice a day - the sphag will stay moist and slowly rot the brom from the stolon up

so, should I remove the sphag? The way I have it set up is so that it is detachable an could just have a light spray in the shower once or twice a week. Bad idea?

Here is a little trick i came up with for my mom for mothers day

1.first i got a picture frame and a tree fern panel
2.next you mount the brom or orchid to the tree fern panel
3.cut the tree fern panel to the correct size and mount it inside of the picture frame
4.find the perfect place for it near a proper light source and mist once a day

i did not use sphag with the broms but i did use it with the orchids and it looks great from far away it looks just like a picture, but if you get close or off to the side you can tell its real btw i call this a living picture frame and i used clamp lamps for the lighting with CFL bulbs

Here is what I have. Eight all together, each has a very small amount off sphagnum wrapped. Hope they do well, no direct light but the room is well lit.

Just go buy one of those big sterilite containers, like the 50 gal ones. Put some egg crate at the bottom, elevated a couple inches. Stick the stolons in the egg crate. Put a clear lid (or Seran wrap but be careful) and some good lights and that's it. I used to do this and it worked pretty well. The air in your apt is probably too dry for you to keep up with them.

The problem is that the air conditioner will dry out your air. I have lost several broms that were in limbo while I was building the viv for them. I misted every day but eventually they did dry out.

If you already have the tank but it is not constructed I would suggest leaving the broms in the unfinished tank. There you can mist them and have light on them.

what I did is moved them to the bathroom where there is a ton of light. Each has a tiny bit of moss, hopefully just enough to retain a little bit of moisture. The whole thing is detachable, so I can give them a spray in the shower every day or two. I hope it takes off. And if not, I should have a terrarium in a month or so

They're gonna probably need more misting than that.
