Plants for new tank
I am looking for a couple good beginer plants. I currently have a 10gal tank that has a false eggcrate bottom. I am also going to be putting togather a 50gal front slider. I would like to get a brom. or some other plants. I would like to know what kinds of plants I will be able to find locally at like homedepot or another flower shop.
thanks

Re: Plants for new tank
Pothos is a great plant and I've seen it at home depot.

Re: Plants for new tank
Home Depot does usually have broms and pothos but for a good selection of plants your most likely going to have to either find a tropical plant shop in your town or shop online. Good Luck

Re: Plants for new tank
Deli, I can't believe you found all those at Home Depot/ Lowes. All the ones in my area have a pretty pathetic selection of indoor plants. I would save a bunch of money on shipping costs for plants if they carried anything close to the stuff you have found there.

Re: Plants for new tank
Do they have a season for tropical plants? My home depot is pretty huge, but I never see peperomia plants =/.

Re: Plants for new tank
The big chains usually have a much better selection in the summer. It allows them to keep any overflow outside.

Re: Plants for new tank
Aren't all Home Depot plants treated pretty hard with chemicals?
