Default Popular leaf litter

What are some popular kinds of leaves you use or reccomend? Or what do you think of leaf litter in general? I strongly advise it for the plants but for the frogs Im not sure. What are some kinds of leaves to avoid?

I use oak, magnolia, and indian almond. All three of these leaves have more of an oily/resiny texture so they are more resistant to decay/they last longer in a humid tank.

I use live oak (Quercus virginianica), they hold up well, and I can pick them up in my yard! I will add some Cecropia leaves in--but mainly for visual interest.

I have two different Cecropia's in my back garden. I planted them for some "fast canopy" after the 2004 hurricane season--they went in the ground as 1-gallon 18" tall seedlings, and they're now about 30' tall with 20' spread. The dried leaves curl up, and are about the size of a grapefruit. The frogs really enjoy hiding in them.

Zone 9B, actually. Disney has a good size specimen at Animal Kingdom (which is 9A).

I've also used leaves from Laurel Oak (Quercus laurifolia), Bay Rum (Pimentia racemosa), and Cardboard Palm (Zamia furfuracea) leaflets.

The dried cycad leaflets hold up the longest in the humid vivarium....
