Re: what should i use to plant my terrarium plants in
Kevin,
first I would advise you plant the plants that you like & want to care for. secondly, choose plants with the appropriate size for your tank, and aren't harmful to your frog's ( i.e. croton, dieffenbachia, english ivy to name a few). If you plan to have raise egg feeding frogs ( i.e. D. lehmanni or D. pumilio) your probabably going to want a few bromeliads. Thirdly, you'll want plants appropriate for the lighting level you can provide. Too much light and you'll have burned leaves to little light no growth or dead plants. Plants requiring higher light can be planted higher up in the terrarium or used to shade plants requiring less light.
for further reading I'd recommend you check these paperback books.
Natural Terrariums by Philip Purser 2007. 160pp. List $14.95 US
Poison Dart Frogs by Amanda & Greg Sihler 2007. 128pp. List $9.95 US
I hope this helps you out.
