live sphagnum moss...

So I've been slowly aquiring plants to have them all ready for when I finally get my tank back from the guy modifying the acrylic.
I bought some live sphagnum moss and it was nice and green when I got it but now it's getting crispy and less green.
I would hate for it all to die before I can plant it!
What should I be doing? I thought I was watering it enough, but I don't want to water it too much...And I was putting it in a sunny window but now I put a full spectrum light on it.
Someone help me so I don't kill it!! lol

hey chibi,

I bought some live sphagnum a while back and its been growing good for me.
I Put them in a large zip lock bag, spreading them out thinly, dampen them a bit with water,
and put them under 70 watts worth of compact fluorescent (6500k).

Be sure to seal the bag, not letting moisture out. They don't really need
any mantainence other than that.

oh thanks, I didn't know if I should leave them sit out, but I'll go ahead and put it back in a ziploc bag, I was wondering if it wasn't getting enough humidity since it's starting to get crispy.
