Default A Good Terr. Plant Book

I'm very interested in botany and have a decent collection of books on the subject, but I've recently been looking for a book on terrarium plants, and have hit a standstill. Does anyone know if there has been any good books written about terrarium plants? The two dozen books that I have on terrariums only briefly mention the plants names and occasionally preferences and size detail, but no in-depth examination like which you have in aquatic or garden plant books. Any suggestion would be helpfull. And, throwing this out there, is there any book that details immersed aquarium plants?

I would say this forum is a better list of terrarium plants and more information than you would ever find in any book that may be offered. I have purchased a few books on terrariums and most are very poor on information about what actually does well. These people know from lots of experimentation.

Isn't that the truth.

It's true, there is really tons of great information and knowledge on this board - but still, sometimes i like to be able to read through a book on the topic. and as mentioned before, in most books about vivs the plant section is very short.

In German there is actually a book solely on this topic, and written by someone who knows his stuff (he's got an online shop for viv plants). Its called "Bromeliads, orchids an fern in the tropical terrarium" - and its a great book! Shame that there isn't an english version of the book...

I have the Aquarium Design Book, and while interesting, it does not go into detail on terrarium plant stuff, just basics covered by a range of books. I know the basics, it is the specifics that I want to learn. The plants, their requirements in immersed cultures, terrarium soil details, etc. The german book looks cool, does anyone have a translation?

Encyclepedia Of Terrarium by Eugene Bruins is a nice book that i found via this (or some other) dart frog forum. it had many people saying good things about it and it is a pretty good book.

300 pages of info, color pictures, a hard back cover, and less then $3.00 at amazon.com:
