Default Going for the pitcher plant

There is a sale at a local steins on plants, and that lowered a medium sized nepenthes atlata (sp?) to around $6.00. I plan on dividing a shoot from it and using it a viv. From my knowledge Nepenthes Atlata (?) is the same as ventricosa (?), just another name. I'm thinking of using it in a viv because 1st, it is a slower grower, 2nd, it is forgiving with conditions, and is accepting of higher temp and humidity (its a highland). I dont think pitchers will be a problem because when ever they get to big, I have a thin fabricky mesh that I can loosely tie around the top to stop frogs from falling in. This way it won't constrict the plant and stop growth, and ff can still get in (to their downfall). I will have the plant up at the top of the tank with some air plants and where it is airier and dryer. It will be in a 7" pot in the background, the pot will be about 60 percent sphagnum (chopped up more) and 40 percent bark chips. If it gets too large I can easily remove it, plus I will trim it back

I do have alatas, ventricosas and ventratas all in my tanks, they work fine because they are indistructable. I feel i should point out that ventricosa and alata are NOT the same plant though. And being a highlander dose not mean it will like high temperatures, it means that it comes from high elevations so likes cool nights. That being said those 3 plants can be grown in just about any condition.

When my plants start to get to big, i just cut them back right in the tank. Sounds like you should be fine.
