Default Peperomia argyreia from cuttings?

Are Peperomia argyreia easily started from cuttings? I placed some baskets in a tank a little too high to fit the orchid I itended as it will hit the glass when it blooms, so I thought of some peperomia cuttings.

I've never worked with this species, but I have had success with 'cuttings' from Peperomia Caperata. I used to have a plant in a viv, and when I'd trim it, I'd just leave the leaves/stalks where they fell among the leaf litter. Then, I'd quickly start having a bunch of tiny plants start popping up. No sphagnum moss or anything around them. I imagine that argyreia would be similar.

Really, just like that? I never thought that would happen. That could be interesting. I will give it a whirl I think.

I just took this shot, and although I don't know exactly what species of pep this is, it is similar to argyreia and caperata I believe. This is just a stalk I received in a bag of cuttings, if you look closely, you can see the start of new growth at the end of the stalk.

It's very easy to make cuttings... I just lay a piece on some sphagnum and wait for it to root.

This Peperomia roots very well from leaf cuttings also. You can get many plants from one leaf. I have taken a leaf and cut it into wedges like you would a Begonia leaf.

Cut a leaf and make sure to get some stem but not much. Cut the leaf in half perpendicular to the veins about half way. Put rooting hormone on the cuts and take the stem side cutting and place it in the medium about 1/4". The take the top cutting and do the same but here place the cut side in the medium. You can also cut the top side in half but it really doesn't matter or help. Plants will develop all along the cut leaf and a more robust plant usually sprouts from the stem side quicker. 1 part peat and 1 part perlite should be good to root in.
