Default fungus on wood not so green its WHITE

what would be little white fuzzy ball looking fungus on ghost wood.. its growing at the bottom near the water?

It shouldn't be anything to worry about and will likely go away given some time.

im not worried about it im more interested in what it is.. i like the fungus look and all the crazy stuff that grows off this wood!

the white fungus i was talking about it at the bottom of the ghost wood near some anubis that were no bigger than a pin head when i placed them there and now there are 4 little leafs growing.. found it in the planter that balck jungle sent me with the larger one! also the alge looking stuff kinda of in the middle of the ghost wood. its like hairy stringy. its growing all over it

Looks fine to me. You want hairy, you should see a piece of driftwood I have in one of my tanks -- it's got so much fur that the FFs get tangled in it. The frogs love it, though, and I think it looks really natural. 8)

It's really difficult to identify the various fungi, some of which may be the mycelium or precursors to mushroom like fruiting bodies. Here are a couple of photos of what has grown in conjunction with the same kind of little white balls as you describe. The first is a plain little white mushroom, and the second is what I believe to be Clavulina cristata, an edible white fungus. The common name is crested coral or wrinkled coral. I'm unsure that either of these is related to the original white balls, but this is a possibility.
