Hey Brian, its a nice plant for sure. The black seems to be on the old growth so I think you're ok, new growth looks to be in good shape, it could just be adjusting or using its reserves to put out some roots.

and grats on the new leucs!

The first picture looks like an Episcia and this is often cause by too much water. They tend to turn black when they rot. Most Episcia like to dry some but given enough heat and light they can take a good deal of water. I have a few growing next to my waterfall and they are constantly splashed but there is lots of air and heat. If they were cool they would just rot.

Also... how long have these plants been in the tank?

I've had episcias rot lower leaves - especially those touching the substrate - when introduced to a new tank with differing humidity levels from what they were formerly grown in. If the new growth is ok, likely it will be fine, and is adapting to it's new home.

As for the yellowing leaves... are they the old growth or new growth? It could be due to lighting, nutrients, or root rot. Often I've had plants do this in part of their adaptation to their new homes (new lighting and substrate) and they often grow out of it.... they tend to look like crap until all the new growth comes in, but they make it

well i would say old growth because those leaves on the plants that are turning yellow were already there. Out of say 7 leaves 3 of the leaves on the plants are yellow. So it sounds good then...i hope to be ok!
