Default CO2 Reactor

Thinking about incorperating a planted aquarium into my vivarium since I have approx 30 gal of water in my viv pond...not too up to date with aquatic plants but after doing some research I see that a CO2 Reactor/Diffuser puts added CO2 into the water which helps with plant growth...wondering if anyone had any experience with this type of setup and if its really needed...also would the diffuser have to be inside the tank itself or could it be in my sump underneath the tank...any help would be appreciated...

Are you keeping frogs or any other living things in the viv? If so, extra CO2 might not be safe unless you ventilate the viv really well.

If you don't have any living things there, then adding CO2 would be a good thing if you have enough light on top of the pond. The diffuser should be in the pond itself because the CO2 would probably dissipate when the water moves from sump to pond (well, I don't know how your sump is built, maybe there is no water movement).
