Default New Grow Tank! plus question...

Ok, so... it's not TOO impressive... but it's got some nice looking plants in it. Most of these will be making their way into a Cayo de Agua viv that is under construction...

That's a good idea, i always just order the plants when the tank is done and have to wait for them to grow in. I'll have to set one of those up someday. Do you fertilize the plants in any way since there are no frogs to poo on them?

Nah... I just let them grow. It wouldn't be a bad idea to maybe mix in some leaf litter and springs into your tank when you make it. I've introduced springs into several of my tanks.

You better hope Dustin Grey doesn't look at this thread :P

Don't ask me why, but this idea never occured to me. I'm going to have to make a few for some plants I have that are still in pots.

That was sort of the same thought for this.

NIce selection of plants. I've got one of those myself (those grow vivs.) All I need to do now is finish this darn viv, wait until its warm enough to order broms from Antone, and then we are golden  thanks to a certain member that lives near me.

And not to hijack, but maybe Antone could pm me with the names of these plants since the person I recieved them from didn't know exact names for all of them since some were volunteers and the ones he did know, I don't remember. lol Thanks

Well I'm not Antone (he's taller) but I know what some of the plants are.
The dark leaved plant with a silver streak down the middle is Syngonium rayii. The lance shaped plant left center is Philo wend imbe (This is the name I have for it) The grassy looking stuff right center looks like acorus. There looks to be allot of small stuff which could be Peperomia, Ficus and etc. More detail would help. The lower left plant is a Episcia and the most interesting to me is the top left which I have no name for but I like it allot. I guess it could be an Episcia but I have never seen one like it. Antone may be able to help with the bromes but the one lower right look like Neoregelia crispata 'Tigrina'. But I don't know hybrid bromes very well.

Sorry Harry. I forgot that you too are a plant genius. Thanks a lot

Maybe I'll start another thread with closeups.
