I wouldn't use the Croton (large leaf, red, green and yellow colored) nor the fern-like plants in the last pic. The others will be okay. The big Peperomia may get a bit large eventually though. Just make sure you rinse them really well on the foliage and the roots. This should be done with any plants you receive from anywhere.

Good luck.

thanks, for the feedback. I just read a post about the croton, and probably wont use it.
What problems will the "air fern" have, other than being fragile for the frogs to climb on?
Shaun

It will probably rot in no time flat. I wouldn't use it.

Air ferns aren't even real ferns or plants and have been dyed green. Here's some information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_fern

That is an interesting find. That makes much more sense. Seems as though most of them would be sold under false advertising.

Anyway, I'm going to clean the two plants from WalMart, and put them in with the fern, fig, moss and other little plant from Alex.
I need some good ideas on plants to put in my two corkbark "planters" in my 30 gal. Check out my construction journal and let me know.
Thanks,
Shaun

I've found that the Rabbit's Foot Fern won't survive the trampling of my tincs. Being the stubborn person that I am, I've tried three times and had three different ferns mauled by the crew.

Rabbits foot? is that the fern on the left, It came from Alex at the cleveland show. I really like the look of it, so I'll have to try it.
