Default Need advice on low light plants

I am setting up a new 25gal viv and need some help making a decision. I have a really awsome piece of wood to go in it, but it takes up a lot of space. I can situate it so it doesn't take up very much floor space, but it shaodows a lot of the bottom. There are a number of holes, but some places will be completly in the shade. My question is will I be able to find some nice plants for the low light area or will it basically just be leaf litter down there? Do ferns do well in low light? I am going to have a 2x55watt PC fixture over the tank, so there should be a lot of light in the areas that get light. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try some Fittonia. They like shade.

Well, I can't really tell how much land mass you're gonna have, but I can recommend a few low light species I've had good experience with and heard were good...

Anthuriums are often low light loving plants, problem is most of them get big. You could get Anthurium clarinervium small and it may stay small for a little while, but it will outgrow that viv of yours.

Alocasias are awesome for low light. Same problem as the Anthurium though, most available species get huge. Alocasia nebula (guttata), Alocasia "Rugosa" and Alocasia "Black Velvet" are all smaller species. Supposedly Alocasia "Tiffany" stays small, but I'll find out, I've got one on the way.

Begonias do well with lower light too. I know Begonia rajah is supposed to be really good for lower light high humidity. I've had good luck with Strawberry Begonia as well.

Most the Peperomias do well with low light too. At least Peperomia argyreia (Watermelon Peperomia), Peperomia meridana and Peperomia "Silver Edge" I've got experience with and am currently growing them in lower light and they are all doing great.

Philodendron and Pothos are easily obtainable and do great in lower light. I don't think you can even kill these two.

Just make sure you meet the other requirements for the plants and have a good time.

The land section is about the size of a ten gallon, but the tank is 24" wide and 20" tall. There is water on three sides of the land and a waterfall on the right side. I will be building up a retaining wall to hold the soil on the land and keep it out of the water. It sounds like I do have some options though. I aprecaite the feedback and any other suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

You could easily get by with one 55 watt cf, and still probably grow just about any plant in there.
Two 55 watt bulbs might heat the tank too much.

I already have the light fixture from an old reef tank. I think what I will do is just use the actinic for a sunrise/sunset effect and then turn it off once the full spectrum bulb comes on. I did think about the heat issue and have a temp probe to check to make sure all the temps are good before any frogs are put in.
