I don't have any ferns right now, but I'll be getting some soon. A few of the ones I've heard are good for the viv are Adiantum raddianum (Maiden Hair Fern), Nephrolepis cordifolia "Duffii" (Lemon Button Fern) and Polypodium formosanum "Cristatum"(ET Fern). This was taken from Tropiflora's "Terrarium Page". I'm gonna give them a try in a few weeks.

Aside from the true mini’s, which are hard to come by, I think the Rabbit’s Foot Fern is one of the best. Most ferns will take over any viv less than 18” tall. With Rabbit’s Foot be very careful about scale insects. This fern is prone to them and they damage its leaves and make it look unsightly.

I've had the best luck with epiphytic ferns suchs as Microgramma nitida, M. piloseloides, M. percussa, Pyrrosia nummularifolium, and Lemmaphyllum microphyllum.

I agree with Jbeetle. The Microgrammas are great, although some don’t have much in the way of fronds. Lemmaphyllum is an awesome genus for terrariums. The problem is that they are very hard to find.

Hi, I have 2 Selaginella Erythropus. A very slow grower but really pretty. Bright green on one side and a deep red underneath.
