They can come in any Colour, mainly Bush Rock Grey, Desert Red, and Light SandStone ( when I say Grey etc. that colour may have a few different colours thru out the Rock as in Nature)...they can also have Fake Moss or not. Re: FAKE ROCKS for REPTILE HABITATS, VERY REAL LOOKING + LIGHT and Safe
Hi Everybody,
Here are some Pics of a Habitat I have recently made the Rockwall/Background for,........... Including a Cascade Down the Left End of the Wall that Ran over the Corner Rock into the Pond area.
The Corner Rock was removable to allow access to the Filter/Pump for the cascade.
There were also Cave/Hides in the Wall, along with Ledges and Pots for for Plantings.
There was a Rock Divider to keep the Land Substrate from the Pond area.
The Customer wanted it in a Sandstone Colour, to show up her Mountain Frogs.
Cost of postage for oversea is too expensive , but Anybody from Downunder interested, give me an Email or Ring .
Re: FAKE ROCKS for REPTILE HABITATS, VERY REAL LOOKING + LIGHT and Safe
Hi All ,
Below are a few pics of a Turtle Tank set up I just finished , not long after these Pics were taken .
The Set up include .......
* A Ledge for the Turtles to access from the Water.
* A Rock to hide the Pump , A Log to Hide the Heater.
* An Overhead Filter ( I designed, owner had made by Sheetmetal Guy ) that was positioned behind the Top of the Wall that emptied via Pipes that fed the Water fall , or if desired Drained straight into the Water.
* The Filter ran almost the length of the Wall .
The Tank was approx 72 cm High at the Rear and 35 cm at the Front.
The Tank was approx 122 cm Long
I posted these Pics to give members a look at different options,... a similar set up could work in an enclosed Habitat for Frogs too.
The owner originally was going to have an External Canister filter along side of the Tank ,.... This did away with that and looks so much tidier.
And it is Easier to change the Filter wool etc.
If the whole filter had to be removed it only needs one Hose Tap fitting unscrewed.
The Tank could be emptied by undoing that fitting and connecting a drain hose and turn the Filter Pump on
