Dominican Holiday Photos!

Hey all, its been a little while since my last post. I've been away for my stepsister's wedding in the Dominican and brought back what I like to think are some respectable shots. I'll be posting more as I complete post processing the group of "bests". Photobucket completely ruined the clarity as I compressed the pics, but you get the idea of what the final images look like :P

Haha its the dominican small fake version. Not the same as in Rio :P

Just my cheapo used Canon Rebel Xti with the stock 18-55mm lens, with polarizing filter and tripod for the landscapes. For the macros I use my canon 100mm 2.8 lens with the same body. Then I used Lightroom 3 for a little editing.

Haha, yeah. There are actually quite a few different variations of the statue across the world, pretty cool stuff.

Thanks. Yes The Dominican Republic. We were at the hotel RIU Bachatta on the north side of the island.

Haha I'll admit to definitely adding the purple hue in Lightroom. I though it would go well with the yellow/orange forground...Plus the sky was quite boring and had no colour for sunrise and sunset. The air is just to thick.

I'll be adding more shots tonight!
