Default ugghh.. about time!

So between going to school full-time and working full-time, the past year has presented little time for me to do what I love. Spring is here, I'm graduating, and I'm finally going to devote some serious time back into this passion. Ive got some cash saved and I plan on doing some traavelinnnggg...

Any of you new englanders want to go on some photos expeditions?
Can anyone recommend some non-tourist filled nature locations for some beautiful shots? anywhere in the US!

washington state has the only temperate rainforest. You can be in the desert, the mountains, the rainforest and the beach all in one day if you do a lot of driving.
Ive been all over the world, and still find the olympic peninsula one of the most magical places. sooooo beautiful. Awesome hiking, photo ops, fishing, beach combing, etc

Jason,

I've been meaning to make it to Washington... my favorite photographer, Marc Adamus ( MarcAdamus's deviantART gallery & http://www.marcadamus.com/) shoots there like a madman... My style is a bit similar, but his use of filters puts mine to shaaaaame. haha

I can always respect a photographer who limits his / her use of post-production.

Thanks for the headsup on the olympic peninsula, do you have any shots you'd like to share?

Not very far off the beaten path, and not necissarily tourist free, but if you havent spent time in Acadia National park with a backpack and a camera, it is a must!
If you are into fall foliage, there are less people there when the weather cools down.
Be sure to hike the precipice!

here's a few from the Hoh rainforest, one of my favorite places on earth. One of the only times Ive been there when it was sunny and dry, last summer

My 1st day with the new camera, so pics weren't the best

when the angle of the sun is right, all the light coming through the trees turns GREEN. My pics don't do the hoh rainforest justice AT ALL! It also hadn't rained for like 2 weeks there when those pics got taken, which is extremely rare. The moss is usually 10x more vibrant
