Default Cheap Factory Nikon D300s

So I was looking around ebay for a Nikon Fish eye lens and decided to check out what the D300s were going for just for fun because I had plans to get it through bestbuy because of there 18 month no intrest plan. But I found these factory demos that come with a one year warranty and are rechecked at the factory and these run about 800-900 less then what it would normally cost. It could be a pretty good deal.

Seems like a great price, and as Nubster said the warranty is there...

Sorry, didn't realize. Just trying to help someone not get ripped off. Won't happen again.

With that said and the holidays near be very careful with buying a used camera. They are one of the top items misrepresented and used to rip people off. Stick with reputable resellers and if looking for a new camera stick with the top places with the best return policies.

I have a question about this D300. I was told unless you are an experienced photographer, this camera is not for you simply because you have to set your ISO, Aperature and shutter speed manually. Is that so? I was considering the D90 but have instead decided to keep my D70 and just invest the money in more lens. My sister is looking at getting the D90 but is also inquiring about the D300. If what I mentioned is true about the D300, it will be far too advanced for her. She is about as big a photography noob as I am. She just knows photoshop better than I do.

Well, I know that the D300 will not have an auto mode or other preset modes lie the D70 and D90. However it should have shutter and aperture priority modes which are not hard to work with. That way you only have to worry about one setting other than ISO and WB. WB can be put on auto which does a good job most of the time and ISO is pretty easy to adjust so there should be no worries there. But yeah, the D300 is an advanced camera but I wouldn't go so far as to say it could not be used by a beginner.
