It is rare for B&H to be more expensive than Wolfe Camera (or Ritz since they changed their name). I am ordering the 50mm tonight.

Nikon and Canon are pretty much top of the game. My advice that I usually give people is to go to your local camera or electronics store and play with several different cameras of different models and brands. You will end up finding that usually one (camera brand) feels better in your hand and/or has button layouts and options that you like better. Then from there you can find the model within that brand that is what you are looking for.

As far as what I like...I am a Nikon guy 100%.

They can seem pretty overwhelming if you have never used a DSLR camera before but once you learn a few basic principles of photography and learn how your camera works, it is not that bad.

I am a Nikon girl all the way myself but only because I was so impressed with a friends Nikon underwater camera system.

Awesome. Can't wait to see some shots from it. I guarantee you will love it. Great sharp lens and if a lens can actually be fun to use this one is.

I just made this thread. All the shots were taken with the 50mm f/1.8. I should have upped the ISO a bit and increased the shutter speed but overall they came out ok.

The face of pain...
