Default Cork Bark Question

I work at a pet store and around 4 years ago we used to sell a type of cork that was rolled up and it was really thin but it still had the bark on the front and I was wondering if anyone knows were I can get it or even if its still made.

Thanks
Joe G.

Cork is not made it is cut from a tree. Sounds to me like your talking about a standard cork round. Most related stores sell them.

I work with Joe, and the material we are looking for has the cork bark on the front, which would be cut from the tree, but it has a flexible backing attached to it that looks like cork roll, so it is two layers: the thin flexible one and then the cork bark on top. I've tried searching online to find it, but I can't seem to track it down Hope that helps to clarify what we're talking about.

Check out "Black Jungle". I'm sure that I've seen them selling "cork sheets" previously. Very thin pressed sheets of cork bark. I didn't find it on their website just now, but perhaps they could still get it for ya.
Good Luck

Check out these folks, I remember someone on a listserv once saying they had good prices on bulk cork. But from the looks of thier web site id say they would be a good start.

anybody know how to flatten the normal bark slabs? I believe Trimtrig said once that you can put them in boiling water, and put a very heavy brick/ stone on them for two weeks to flatten them out.
Anybody tried this? I have a ton of cork bark but I'd prefer to use it siliconed directly instead of using Great Stuff.
