Default exo jungle vines

Looking for very long-lasting background materials on the next few vivaria I'm making...

Anyone used the Exo Terra Jungle vines in dart frog vivaria yet? How do they hold up?

I've had them in a viv for quite awhile and they seem to be fine other than breaking out with a white mold every now and then.

I however do not use these in any of my tree frog enclosures as a breeder told me that crickets like to munch on them and then the frog will ingest the particles via the crickets' stomach.

Recently Exo Terra redesigned them so I think they are made of a less crumbly material but I still see a lot of the old style for sale.

I haven't seen the new style, but I had one in my RETF tank last year and it started to fall apart within a few weeks.

I've used them in the past, and they held up for at least a couple years.

You know, I'd love to see this whole foam eaten by crickets thing proven.
In fact, I'm probably going to make an experiment with that at some point in the near future to prove thats a bunch of bunk. I can see them burrowing in it, but ingesting it? I don't know about that.

Tony are you sure the one you used was from exo terra? I know there are at least a few brands out there, and I've heard that there are marked differences in quality among the brands.

Yes, it was included in an Exo Terra rainforest habitat kit.
