I like to keep both small and large on hand. There are two sizes that are inexpensive from Carolina and those are the two sizes I keep handy. One is the 60mm but I don't remember what the other is.
My tincs and azureus have no problems laying in the 15mm x 60mm size. It's plenty deep enough to provide enough water for newly hatched tads to sit in until I get home. When the eggs are still developing I just keep barely enough water to cover their half of the petri dish. Once the eggs look ready to hatch, I fill the bottom of the petri dish so they can swim around a little. IMHO, it makes it a bit easier for them to hatch, and I don't have to be right there to transfer them into cups.
