Question Hand misting

I am looking for a fine mist spraying non-automated mister. I am currently using a cheap pump mister from Lowe's that holds a gallon of water but the water does not come out like a fine mist even at it's finest setting. What are you guys using?

I have the large gallon mister for watering , but use the Mist'r Lizard for fine mist. I got it at DrFostersandSmith.com for less than $10. I wish It was a little larger but other than that it's perfect.

i have a pump mister that throws off a pretty decent fine mist at its tightest setting but i use it for my larger vivs that are chest and waist high, my verts on top shelfs i use a standard spray bottle to mist and it gets the job done. and thats also from home depot.

I just use one of the plastic mist bottles from Home Depot. It only costs 99 cents. It sprays really fine mist, plus I get a forearm workout when I use it, lol.

The Home Depot mister is so fine - it can be adjusted too fine.

PUMP UP 1.5QT SPRAY MISTER - Horse.com

I use one of these, though mine is just a relabeled version with green top from Lowes. I think I paid around 8 bucks for it. It puts out a very fine mist when the pressure is good and allows for a nice stream to clean and flush water receptacles.

Does everyone really like hand spraying? I have a rainmaker jr, but have been debating whether to even use it. I know it's more automated but hand spraying isn't really that tedious... is it?

Exactly! And I really enjoy my time misting. It allows me to look and play with my viv. Plus sometimes I dont want to mist everything in my tank.

I use the lizard mister thing too. Puts out fine mist but if you plan on misting heavily or multiple tanks the reservoir is pretty small. I was thinking about getting one of the larger ones from lowes but when I've used them before (pesticide/fertilizer spraying) it didn't seem like the particles got very fine.

If it is the one with the same green top as the mistr lizard then it works just as well. I upgraded to the larger size and like it much better. I think it was only 8 or 9 bucks, definitely worth it.
