Default Great Stuff Shrinkage?!

So..I've been building a 10 gal vert for about a week. Everything was done and I was going to plant today...I'm getting some bastis tomorrow and wanted to put them in this tank. ( I know I should have had this done months ago I go to start planting and notice my GS has shrunken a lot! I've already done filler applications twice from very minimal shrinkage....now this? I'm scared to fill more if this is going to keep happening. Should I fill it again and hope thats not the case? I don't know what to do because time is of the essence and I'm picking up the frogs tomorrow.

Hopefully you have a temp tank to put them in while you finish the other tank - because it's not going to be ready tomorrow!

GS shrinkage never happened at all with my last tank? Any reason why its happening now? temperature? bad GS?

I'd just add foam in that hole now that it's already shrunk and add silicone on top once it's done curing...

In the future - add a silicone layer on the glass first & window & door great stuff over that. We've never seen that stuff shrink. Once the GS cures - silicone & coco like usual.

And to lighten things up:

There's nothing "great" about shrinkage!

MeiKVR6 - Thanks for beating me to it
