Default vert or horizontal?

I have a pair of green and black auratus in a 15gal that's half land/water and after pulling the one due to skinniness I have rethought the tank, it just isn't offering nearly enout walk room for them

Now, should I redo it as a vert or horizontal? Ill be taking out the water regardless but...?
Id like to make it vert but what's best for them?

Default Re: vert or horizontal?

I would stick to horizontal. Most all auratus I have seen and had experiance with, stick to the bottom. I'm not saying they won't climb but they seem to spend most of there day on the ground. I would give them as much ground space as possible.
