Heat tape

Has anyone used heat tape or heat rope for heating their terrarium? I would like to use it but from the outside. I have a 65 gal Glass terraruim for my Galacs and I'm finding it ranges in temp from 64 at night and a high of 75 during the day. If anyone has experience with using heat tape and woud recomend it - could you also mention the brand and where you purchased it.
