Virgin Post.
Hello all, new to DB and looking for some advice on the on again, off again, now back on custom build project of mine.
here are some images for reference,
basically this is a corner unit, originally planned the front to be used as an aquarium, and the back to be recessed allowing for planting and water feature.
To give you some aspect to size the front portions of "glass tank" are 18" high and the rear are 12". the walls are each 30"X72"(to bottom)
This is a mock up that i have made. I have already constructed the two walls and the tank. the walls are basically 2x4 frame w/bathroom grade drywall, greatstuff/coco fibers/corkbark/ghostwood. I am in the process of covering the greatstuff with silicone and coco, 1 is almost complete and the other is bare.
The tank is 1/4 glass. Note that the rear of Face is 1/4" shorter than the rest of Face.
My intention was to have and aquarium front and vivarium rear creating a paludarium. So i am trying to map out the water cycle and this is what i am seeking some advice on. any Ideas?
I was thinking to have and overflow from the front travel along one side and join an additional water feature (waterfall) in the back corner. as i want all the water to be on a single filter, i have a Fluval 205 for the Job.
BTW, i believe i figured out how much water was going to be held and it was around 20g in the front and with about 6" in the rear the whole system was i think at about 30g
Any and all advice is appreciated, criticism welcomed.
