Default 40 Gallon Lighting?

I'm building my first dart frog terrarium and hoped you guys could help? 40 gallon 30'x 12' 1/2'x 25' I have a 2x55watt compact florescent hood from AH Supply I hope to use. Is this too much light? Tank will be planted and contain a water feature. Thanks for your help
